Accessibility

We welcome everyone to Newton Hall.  Due to the layout of the house we are unable to provide a downstairs bedroom or to accommodate guests who cannot manage stairs.  If you have any specific requests or questions that you would like to discuss with us please telephone or email.

Parking

There is parking for four cars on the front driveway with further parking on the farmyard for trailers and larger vehicles.  There is through access on the front drive with two driveway entrances leading to the gravelled parking area in front of the main house.

House layout

The house is on two levels, ground and first.  There is a porch directly onto the driveway with a very small step into the carpeted hall which is lit by downlights and a table lamp. 

The guests’ sitting room is off the hall with a small step down into it.  This room has original floorboards with a large contempary rug in the centre.  It is lit by contempary spotlights and table lamps.  This room in particular has plenty of natural light with two southfacing windows and a French window. 

The Dining Room is also off the hall with clear access.  This room has a carpeted floor, lit by a central light and wall lights.  Also provided in here is a fridge for guests own use.

Guests have access to the utility room and use of iron and ironing board.

The stairs has a handrail on the righthand side with eleven steps up to the first floor.

The Green bedroom is situated to the left of the stairs with no further steps.  The room is carpeted with one step leading into the ensuite bathroom where there is a large shower cubicle.

The Blue bedroom is along the landing after going up one step from the top of the stairs.  This room is also ensuite but with no further steps and has a bath with a shower over.  Again the room is carpeted and both rooms are lit by central light controlled from the door and also a pull switch from the bed.  They also have wall lights over the bed or bedside lamps on both sides of the bed for easy reading.  Rooms are centrally heated with adjustable controls and there are also independent electric dimplex heaters.

The digital flatscreen televisions in the bedrooms have remote control handsets and cordless kettles are provided with the hospitality trays.

We are installing electric fire alarms throughout and there is a safety night light on the landing which can be used as a torch.  Incase of a fire leave through the nearest exit.

Garden

There is a picnic table for guests on the lawn and also the use of a sheltered secluded summerhouse with garden furniture and recliners.

For the business person  wireless broadband connection is available.

We also have three stable for guests to bring there own horses with secure locked tackroom and parking.
